2. Danish and EU legal framework

In Denmark, storage of information on or access to information in end-user terminal equipment (for example cookies, pixels, or similar technologies) is regulated under the EU ePrivacy framework as implemented in Danish law—notably the Danish Act on electronic communications (lov om elektroniske kommunikationstjenester m.v.) and associated executive provisions on cookies and similar technologies—together with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where personal data is involved.

Guidance from the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) emphasises that consent for non-essential cookies must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous, and that refusing non-essential cookies should be as easy as accepting them. We design our banner so you can reject optional categories, accept all, or open granular settings.

Where we use technologies that process personal data, the lawful bases described in our privacy policy apply in addition to this cookie policy.

3. What technologies we use

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include, for example, HTML5 local storage, session storage, pixels, or scripts that read device information. This policy covers cookies and comparable storage on this site.

4. Strictly necessary storage

Some storage is strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly request—for example remembering your cookie choices or maintaining basic security. Under applicable Danish and EU rules, such storage may be permitted without consent where it meets the statutory conditions. On this site, your cookie preference is stored in localStorage under the key thisdomain_cookie_prefs_v1 so the banner does not reset on every page view.

5. Optional categories (consent)

Analytics: if enabled, would help us understand aggregate traffic. It is off until you opt in.

Marketing: if enabled, would support measurement or messaging related to promotion. It is off until you opt in.

We do not activate optional categories before you consent through “Accept all” or by enabling the toggles and saving. Withdrawing consent has future effect; you may clear site data for this domain in your browser at any time.

6. Google Consent Mode (v2)

Where we use Google tags (for example Google Analytics 4), this site follows Google Consent Mode v2: before any tag runs, we set default consent signals (including ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization) to a restrictive state. When you save choices in our cookie banner, we call a consent update that maps your toggles to those signals—Analytics controls analytics_storage; Marketing controls ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and related personalization storage. The GA4 measurement ID is set in js/consent-init.js as THISDOMAIN_GA4_MEASUREMENT_ID; leave it empty if you do not use GA4. For background, see Google’s documentation on Consent Mode and tag platform consent.

7. Third-party technologies

We may load fonts or icons from content delivery networks; those requests may transmit technical data to the provider under their policies. Embedded maps (for example Google Maps) may set or read cookies controlled by the map provider. We recommend reviewing the third party’s privacy and cookie information if you interact with embedded content.

8. Retention

Consent choices stored locally persist until you delete site data or change your selection. If we introduce server-set cookies, we will list each cookie’s name, purpose, provider, and maximum duration in this section and in consent records as required.

9. Marketing and the Danish Marketing Practices Act

If we use marketing cookies or similar tools that involve electronic marketing toward individuals in Denmark, we will comply with applicable rules, including requirements under the Danish Marketing Practices Act (Markedsføringsloven) and implementing guidance on unsolicited approaches and transparency, in addition to GDPR consent where required.

10. Your choices and browser controls

You can control or delete cookies and stored data through your browser settings. You can also use industry opt-out tools where available. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage may affect how the site remembers your preferences.

11. Updates

We will update this policy when our use of cookies or similar technologies changes materially.
